Greenfield Festival Confirmation!

Zebrahead have been confirmed to play the Nokia Greenfield Festival which takes place in Switzerland this year from the 13th - 15th June. By clicking the image below, which is taken from the Official Greenfield Festival Site, the full band line-up can be seen, in which Zebrahead are listed in the bottom left corner.

The site also contains short bios of all the bands playing. Zebrahead's can be seen here, with yet another dated picture being used! No word on which day(s) the band will be there nor any stage or showtime details yet, but as soon as we have them we'll let you know. Either way it promises to be a great way to raise some awareness of the band, and gain some new fans!

New Official Update!

Zebrahead's Official Site has been updated with a short statement that mentions that a new video update as well as UK/European tour dates are to be unveiled soon. It also mentions that a total of 18 songs are being recorded, which may hint that we could end up seeing a similar number of tracks on the new CD as were on Broadcast To The World (including bonus tracks that is). The full update can be read below:

Will They, Won't They? (Updated Again)

In a sudden change of events, Zebrahead have removed the previous update in which they stated they would be playing the Leeds Slam Dunk Festival on May 25th, as well as removing the date from their upcoming tour schedule on their Official Site. This added to the fact that no announcement was made on their MySpace may seem a bit odd to some fans.

It may be (and hopefully for UK fans will be) the case that the band have to wait until they are officially confirmed for the show before they can announce it (properly). Otherwise we could be looking at another scenario similar to the previous SXSW announcement where by the band were unable to make the previously announced show due to other commitments. To remain positive though, it should be noted that in the case of the SXSW announcement, Zebrahead never officially announced they would be playing at all (neither on their MySpace or Official Site) instead the Get Happy MySpace made the announcement. So perhaps we are simply looking at the first scenario, where we have to wait for the Leeds Slam Dunk Festival to officially confirm them as the Punk/Ska headline band.

Expect an update one way or another once the answer to this one is confirmed.

UPDATE: Thanks to Neil from MFZB Message Boards from bringing it to my attention that the Official Leeds Slam Dunk Festival MySpace did in fact send out the following bulletin yesterday:

Upcoming UK Tour!

Straight from Zebrahead's Official Site comes an announcement regarding upcoming UK dates in May:

"Zebrahead will be heading over to the UK again starting May 25th at the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds. They will be headlining the Ska/Punk stage. Look for more dates to appear after that show. Let's Party"
After some digging around it seems the likely set of bands to take to the Ska/Punk stage are (though not 100% confirmed):

Zebrahead
Big D & The Kids Table
Sonic Boom Six
Random Hand
The King Blues
State Radio
Fandangle

Confirmed Times For Whole Festival:
Doors - 3pm (14+)
DJs - 11pm - 3am (18+)

Other bands confirmed for different stages include Cute Is What We Aim For, Boys Like Girls, Story Of The Year and Fightstar among others. Keep checking out the Official Leeds Slam Dunk Festival MySpace for official news. Yu can buy tickets for the festival now by clicking here.

Whether or not Zebrahead's time in the UK will consist of headline shows, co-headline, or a support slot remains to be seen, but it would seem likely that we can expect numerous headline shows in similar venues to the last UK tour. Zebrahead are set to stay in the UK until mid June, which may imply the guys will be playing at Download this year.

Stay tuned for all the news as we get it!

Straight From The Horse's Mouth!

A first for PFH, a blog entry on the go! (here's hoping it works properly!). The Matches have just finished an awesome headline show in Nottingham here in the UK, and after the show I got talking to Shawn (the lead singer and half of Oxen Art for those of you not in the know).

I happened to mention about how great a job he did with the Broadcast cover, to which he replied "Oh thanks I'm doing the next one too!"

So there you have it! It's been suggested that Shawn and Emilee (Oxen) could have been doing the new cover but now it's official. Well if Shawn's words aren't confirmation then I dunno what else is! Personally I'm a big fan of Oxen, so am looking forward to seeing what they can come up with!

More details as and when we get them!

Zebrahead In The Studio - Video Update 1

The first video update from Zebrahead in the studio is now up on YouTube. The video shows the band working with Howard Benson (the guy who produced Playmate Of The Year and Waste Of Mind), and confirms that "(The) Art Of Breaking Up" will make the next album (or at least a very high chance it will!). You can view the video update below:
